If you are doing this to give life back to your computer, this could save you a trip to your local computer shop where they do this, and charge you anyway.

Look out for any messages that say anything about Windows Explorer or explorer.exe. Explorer is in simple terms the ultra mega software deluxe. It runs anything and everything all the way down to the icons on your desktop.

This will work for Vista as well. The reason I recorded this with a camera and not screen capture software is because when you shut down explorer.exe, you shut down everything including software.
