step 2: type in msconfig.
step 3: click start up.
step 4: disable all the programs you don’t want to start up when you log in your pc. (the more you disable, the faster your pc will start up).
step 5: click apply, then ok.
step 6: it will say restart computer…do it in order to save the changes.

This is what I think goes on “behind the curtain” in Microsoft Windows. It would at least explain why it always does other stuff than what you want it to do or crashes, once you got it on the right path.
