So I had played Geometry Wars on my XP machine and had no DX10 effects. I copied it to my mom’s new computer with vista and it ran with all the effects. Now when I copied it back to my XP PC these DX10 effects are on my PC with DirectX 9! Apparently Geometry Wars does not really need DirectX 10 and had just locked it out. Somehow I’ve brought it back into XP!
